Lead Organiser

Caitlin is the Lead Organiser of TEDxYouth@SJII 2020, currently in Grade 12. A keen member of the school’s U19 Girls’ Volleyball team, she also enjoys frisbee and dabbles in photography for recreation. Passionate about service, she is the President of SJII’s Key Club, aimed at serving the local community while cultivating leadership skills in members. With a love for math, science and geography, she hopes to study Engineering in University and work towards producing sources of clean energy.

Isabel Tan

Head Communication & Marketing Director

​

Currently in Grade 12, Isabel Tan is the Head Communication and Marketing Director. She is part of the school’s volleyball team and enjoys doing art as a pastime. As a member of the senior student council, she leads the organising team for Prom 2020, as well as help to voice and make the senior school experience more enjoyable. She hopes to study architecture in university.

Megan Lim

Deputy Communication & Marketing Director

​

Currently in Grade 11, Megan Lim is the Deputy Communication and Marketing Director for TEDxYouth@SJII 2020. She is passionate about arts and design, taking on a number of branding and advertising projects for affairs in and out of school. Furthermore, she shares her love for art in service initiatives where she spent time with marginalized indigenous people painting murals. Aside from design, Megan also enjoys singing, having been a member of a competing high school choir. Working diligently towards her future career, Megan hopes to incorporate her artistry in the business profession she hopes to succeed in.

Lily Updike

Head Curator

​

Lily is the Head Curator for the upcoming TEDxYouth event. She is currently involved in the school’s theater scene and is Vice President of the Theater Council. Lily also carries a passion for service and is the Vice President of the Interact Club, who works closely with the Rotary Club of Singapore to help engage with local issues. In addition to theater and service, Lily also enjoys representing her team for rock climbing.

Joaquin Torres

Head Event Manager

​

Joaquin is the Head Event Manager of TEDxYouth@SJII 2020. He has a passion in Biology, Geography, and Literature, and is a strong advocate for human and environmental rights. Having been performed in multiple productions, he is passionate in both theatre and the arts. He also enjoys playing volleyball and frisbee, and will not turn down the opportunity to bring joy to any situation.

Sangmi Shin

Head Finance Director

​

Sangmi is the head of finance director of the 2020 TEDxYouth@SJII. As a grade 11 in 2020, she has a strong passion for Math and Economics. Sangmi enjoys studying the principles of economics and solving questions related to mathematics. Not only in the academics but she is also interested in service, loves to volunteer and aid that need help, regardless of humans, animals, its age and area.

Ashley Koh

Head Producer

​

Ashley is the Head Producer of TEDxYouth@SJII 2020. Currently a Grade 12 student, she is also an avid performer in addition to her IB studies, having performed at numerous school events. She has attained Grade 8 certifications in both Piano and Classical Singing, and is currently preparing for her DipAB certification for Singing.

Kai Ryn Tan

Deputy Curator

​

Currently in Grade 11, Kai Ryn is the Deputy Curator. She is an editor of the school’s newspaper One Voice and a member of the Lasallian Council. She is also the editor-in-chief of @xsnews, a news platform on Instagram that aims to combat youth apathy by making current affairs, politics and economics simple to understand. She is passionate about history and geography.

Deputy Event Manager

Christabelle is the Deputy Event Manager of TEDxYouth@SJII 2020. She has a passion for the environment and sustainability. She is a writer for the school’s newspaper, One Voice and is currently the secretary of the Interact Club, which works closely with the rotary club to help engage in current social issues. Christabelle also has an interest in the arts, in particular, film and dance.

Arushi Agrawal

Deputy Finance Director

Arushi is the deputy finance director for TEDxYouth@SJII 2020. A grade 11 student in 2020, she has a strong passion for Mathematics and Science. Apart from academics, Arushi enjoys building mechanical stuff, playing badminton and reading.

Deputy Producer

Eagan is the Deputy Producer of TEDxYouth@SJII 2020. He has a deep passion for learning new skills in life and tries to live an active lifestyle. A dedicated footballer, he always gives his full effort and tries to get along with everyone in the team. Eagan also is an avid musician, having performed for the school as a bassist. He also has an interest in the arts, psychology and photography.

Sam Chen Yu

Head Photographer and Videographer

Sam is the Head Photographer & Videographer for TEDxYouth@SJII 2020. Sam is devoted to his love for music, learning 4 instruments and participating in multiple musical events, including the school Orchestra. He has experience in photography awnd amateur filmmaking, in which he was the  Director of Photography and Chief Editor. Given his interests in music, Sam is intent on studying either Music or Computer Science at University.

Asa Lim

Deputy Photographer and Videographer

As a Grade 9 student, Asa is the youngest member of the Executive Committee for TEDxYouth@SJII 2020. Asa is an avid and passionate photographer who has a 4 year background in photography and a year’s experience of covering live events. He is also passionate about History, Business and Economics. Academics aside, Asa is a nature-loving Assistant Patrol Leader in Scouts.

Kristine Lim

Event Host

​

Kristine Lim is the event host for TEDxYouth@SJII 2020. She is passionate about the arts, science and people; often taking part in any sort of school activity involving people and creativity. Not only is she involved in editing videos for the school, she continues to hone her creative skills in the culinary arts. In the future, she hopes to find a job where she can easily spread joy and influence and help people for the better.
